Our policy on credentials
We state what contributors actually are, not what would look best.
Nobody on this site is described as a veterinarian, a reptile specialist or an expert unless they hold the relevant qualification and it can be checked. We do not use vague phrases such as “our team of experts” or “reviewed by professionals” to imply oversight that has not happened.
If a page has been reviewed by a qualified professional, that person is named on the page with their credentials. If it has not, no reviewer is claimed.
Editorial team
To complete before launch. Replace the block below with accurate details. Do not describe research experience as clinical experience, and do not list a qualification that cannot be verified.

Veterinary and specialist review
To complete once arranged. Leave this section stating that review is not yet in place rather than implying that it is.
We are seeking review of our health-adjacent pages by a qualified exotics or reptile veterinarian. Those pages are:
- Tortoise not eating
- Feeding before hibernation
- Calcium and supplements
- Baby tortoise food
- Water and hydration
Until that review is in place, those pages carry no reviewer credit and should be read as researched husbandry information rather than clinical guidance.
